Why Online Oil Monitoring?
If you buying large amounts of oil on a regular basis it is impossible to monitor whether or not the oil batches have been comprised by water addition unless you go for online monitoring.
Laboratory analysis by itself will give no certain indication of total water content in an oil batch because it is limited to the tiny amount of sample taken at a certain part of the loading/unloading of oil . A spot sample is simply a spot sample and cannot be considered representative. It has been proven time and time again that continuous monitoring of an oil batch will give a much more accurate view of water content and is normally able to solve unending disputes that have been caused by laboratory analysis based on non representative sampling.
