The above picture is an example of 5 inch standard inline oil mixer manufactured by EESIFLO International.  There is a good reason why we believe that mixing is absolutely essential for water measurement in hydrocarbons and it is because of a fact that many a process depends on the fact of separation. 

Engineers know from basic process engineering principles that water and hydrocarbons do not mix and the separation industry would not be able to sell their products if these facts were not true. If this is true in the process industry it is even more important in hydrocarbon sampling where operators are wasting everyone’s time if they have been using company budgets to purchase analytical equipment that is not even taking a representative sample or electronic snapshot of the hydrocarbon containing unknown water amounts.

There is a term called “BOTTOM WATER” and because of the scientifically proven facts that liquids with different densities will separate  and so without mixing, the analysis or monitoring will never be able to account for the unknown water amount.  An oil monitoring system supplied by EESIFLO International (whether it is auto sampling or online water in oil metering) is normally supplied with static mixers upstream of the measuring/sampling device to ensure that what is being measured is representative. The mixing will create a homogeneous mixture so that BOTTOM WATER will not be missed.

The site promotes non intrustive measurement but not just any non intrusive flow meter. When it comes to the measurement of a liquid that has a varying percentage of water and hydrocarbons - our expertise comes in handy .

Using our own transit time time flowmeters especially at higher temperatures in crude oil and hydrocarbons we are able to guarantee a flow measurement that is not going to be adversely affected by internal wear and tear (since there are no moving parts) but that will also continue to measure accurately if the water/oil ratio changes. There is no need to re-adjust sensors or intervene in any way. Basically the system that we provide will not be problematic in this area.

We have supplied our flowmeters, samplers and water cut monitors as complete packages to major oil companies around the world and have taken responsibility as a single source solution provider. If you need us to add a densitometer of your choice or some other critical monitoring device, it is a simple task to implement this into our crude oil monitoring system packages

Temperature Compensation

Each EASZ-1 water in hydrocarbon monitor comes with a built in temperature sensor. The temperature compensation comes in handy when greater accuracy is warranted and normally because of temperature changes in the hydrocarbons.

In addition our electronics are also internally temperature compensated to overcome ambient weather/temperature changes that can affect measurement.

Our standard products supplied to the hydrocarbon industry come certified to either explosionproof or intrinsic safety standards but also we are well versed in producing products that will be satisfactory to piping engineers in the hydrocarbon industry. We are full compliant and certified to the European pressure equipment directive but also manufacture watercut meters that meet piping standards that have been put in place to reduce leak paths.
