Flexible Systems for Oil Measurements

Oil Companies are always looking for better ways to do things in a shorter period of time without compromising in quality and safety standards. The EOG Division takes the same stance and we make sure that our ISO Quality System is always being looked after. Safety is also something that cannot be taken lightly when considering the products we manufacture will be used under pressure. All products that leave the factory are checked and re-checked to ensure the highest standards possible in design, fabrication, welding, electronic testing and pressure requirements. More and more clients are looking for better ways to obtain believable results and when it comes to oil and water we always recommend and provide adequate homogeneous mixing where possible. This ensures that at the minimum, normal and maximum flow rate of crude oil, we will can ensure that samples taken from the sample take off point are as representative as possible to what is actually in the flowing stream.

This makes calibration of the oilcut  meter more  acceptable because we have a true baseline to start with. The fact of water and oil separation is already something oilfield process engineers are familiar with and the same principles apply in a pipeline. Bottom water always tends to sink to the bottom of the pipe with the oil at the top and so installing integral mixing systems before taking off a sample ensures maximum integrity. The EASZ-1 WaterCut Meter will then measure the actual cut and continue to do so with confidence since it is an instrument known to be of high repeatability.
