Oil Water Monitors Temperature Compensated Water Cut Monitor

The WCM (Water Cut Monitor) EASZ-1  has been developed to provide the highest possible accuracy and resolution for water content determination in hydrocarbons including crude oil and other liquids with low dielectric constant. Applications extend to oil production, transportation and storage as well natural gas (condensate) production.  Reliable state of the art electronics for the  water cut or S&W measurements are also significantly improved by implementing custody transfer sampling guidelines for process liquid conditioning recommended by the ISO and API committees which enables operators to clear doubts raised by the continuing uncertainty  experienced by operators obtaining data from  non homogeneous mixtures Each monitoring system is completely temperature compensated, not only for changes in process temperatures but also the effects of changing ambient temperatures around the electronics. BUILT IN TEMPERATURE COMPENSATION

The dielectric constant of oils can change with changes in temperature. When looking for very small increases in dielectric changes, the temperature measurement and compensation becomes more important for the overall system. Some older systems only account for the change in product temperature but do not compensate for a change in the surrounding temperature and thus are prone to a drift known to be caused by the diurnal effect.
