We are not limited to solutions which rely on set systems which do not accomplish special monitoring requirements of tank farms, refineries and offshore oil and gas applications and marine. This is because applications require engineered systems to embrace different flow rates, oilcuts and most importantly representative sampling whether it be by traditional API/ISO methods or online electronic methods. |
WHY DO OIL BUYERS NEED CONTINOUS OIL/WATER MONITORING
The oil industry moving to better accountability is waking up to the fact that spot sampling will never prove anything. Clients who are purchasing or consuming reasonable volumes of crude oil or hydrocarbon based fluids know that it is impossible to determine the true water content without using either traditional auto sampling methods according to API /ISO or electronic water in oil monitoring systems. A spot sample is simply a spot sample and gives absolutely no real indication of the NET OIL value. This means without true accountability there is no way to determine the quality of hydrocarbon products either being bought or sold. |
